Job Summary
The Middle School Ministry Pastor will support, lead, and develop the middle school ministry (grades 6–8) in a Christ-centered and relational environment.This role is well-suited for seminary students or emerging ministry leaders who desire practical ministry experience, mentorship, and growth while continuing their theological training.
Leadership & Ministry Development
- Collaborate with pastoral staff in ministry direction and planning
- Help foster a welcoming environment where students feel known and supported
- Actively participate in developing and leading weekly gatherings and special events
Teaching & Discipleship
- Prepare and deliver biblically grounded, age-appropriate messages
- Facilitate small group discussions and relational discipleship
- Build ongoing relationships with students through presence and care
Volunteer & Team Collaboration
- Work alongside volunteers and ministry leaders
- Support a safe, healthy, and welcoming ministry culture
Parent Communication & Partnership
- Communicate with parents and guardians as needed
- Support family partnership in students’ spiritual growth
Administration & Events
- Help plan and lead retreats, camps, and ministry events
- Assist with coordination, scheduling, and logistical planning as needed
- Follow and support child safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
Spiritual
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ
- Alignment with the church’s statement of faith, mission, and values
- A heart for middle school ministry
Professional
- Currently enrolled in seminary OR holding a bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, education, or a related field
- Teaching, mentoring, or youth ministry experience preferred but not required
- Desire to learn and grow in ministry leadership
Personal
- Relational, dependable, and teachable
- Servant-hearted with healthy boundaries
Compensation & Support
- Monthly compensation based on experience and role scope
- Travel assistance and short-term lodging support may be available for candidates commuting from a distance (details will be discussed during the interview process)
