Half of this month has already passed.
May God bless your family with the richness of His grace and love.
God's Word for the last Lord's day was from Ezekiel 3:10-11.
Moreover, he said to me, "Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears. And go to the exiles, to your people, and speak to them and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God,' whether they hear of refuse to hear."
[Ezekiel 39:25 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.]
The Israelites were completely destroyed because of their sins. However, God had mercy on them, so He promised that He would send them the New Kingdom and New King. From that time, the Israelites had waited for their new king, Jesus Christ. As we are waiting for Christmas, Israel had been waiting for the birth of Messiah. Since their kingdom was destroyed, there was no hope for the Israel. In the same manner, because of our sins, we must die; there was no hope for us as well. However, Jesus Christ came to us in order to give us the new life. And that is why we celebrate Christmas. I pray that we are looking for Christmas because of Jesus Christ, not because of gifts and other events. I pray that our children can celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and thank Jesus Christ by waiting for Christmas. Until Christmas, please think together with our children what we celebrate and why we celebrate Christmas. Thankfully, they already know Christmas is Jesus' birthday. :)
